Just thought I'd document a few things to look out for.

My show is now simply "The Chris Painter Show" - the old name was a bit rubbish considering that come summer time it'll still be light outside at 8pm when the show finishes. The Night In

Yes ladies and gentlemen, I have my own radio show.

Every Wednesday evening at 7pm on University Radio Falmer, I now have a show called The Night In, where I take calls and play some records. Mainly play records because I hardly get any calls.

To listen go to www.urfonline.com and click "listen" of if you've got a Medium Wave / AM radio it broadcasts on 1431AM in the Falmer area.

I already did a pilot show in which I discussed the woes of the credit crunch and played the following records:

Ian Watkins and TFF News (Hmm, this could confuse people)

Hiiiiii Everybody,

Today, I've got a couple pieces of news for you. First of all, Ian Watkins who I mentioned on my previous blog has started a new series of podcasts known as "WPP- Watko's Proper Podcast" with his radio friend and producer Cam Ward. This can be found on Ian's new website www.ianwatkinsonline.com .

And just to confuse everyone, the TFF mentioned in the title of today's blog is not referring to Ian's "That Friday Feeling" but to "Tears for Fears". It has been announced that towards the end of this year TFF will yet again be performing as part of the "Night Of The Proms" event. Details can be found here on the NOTP website.

Ian Watkins

A young radio presenter named Ian Watkins, known to some as Watko has just launched his new website, which can be found here (www.ianwatkinsonline.com).

Ian's cutting edge as far as I'm concerned, and in the days where certain brillaint elements of UK speech radio have been restricted for one reason or another, Ian's way of broadcasting with his TFF show (that's "That Friday Feeling", not to be confused with "Tears for Fears"), was very refreshing every Friday night. Ian says this isn't likely to make a quick return, which is a shame. Bit's of it reminded me of what Danny Baker is doing on BBC London.

Ian also has a podcast on Libsyn called "Watko's What The Hell Is Going On Here?", that's found at watkinsian.libsyn.com . It's very Iain Lee inspired (who ocasionally participates) , but very original at the same time.

The First Piece Of News

No sooner do I get started on my blog, that a great piece of news comes through from the Barry from Watford Appreciation society.

Barry from Watford for those of you who don't know, is an elderly gentlemen that contributes regularly to The Sunday Night Show with Iain Lee over on Virgin Radio, as well as his own television projects and appearences on The Late Edition with Marcus Brigstocke.

Word is, that Barry will be appearing tonight on E4's Big Brother's Big Mouth at 23:05 GMT tonight (20/6/08) , be sure not to miss it.

So I decided to go with "Blogger- Push Button Publishing" by way of blogging. Welcome. Come on it, grab a beer or something, and enjoy my thoughts.

A little about this:
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Christopher, and amongst other things I'm a HUGE fan of talk radio. You may even have heard me talking on the radio at some point.

So what I want to do on this blog is review certain things, post my thoughts on certain things and post news about this things I enjoy when I hear of it.
